at the ISS Expo in Nashville, Tenn. The location is the Gaylord
Opryland Resort and Convention Center. In 2009, Legal Learning Live will be
held on Jan. 28 as part of the ISS Expo in Las Vegas, at The Sands
Expo & Convention Center.
About this seminar…
Every self-storage business faces legal issues, which explains the
popularity of Jeffrey Greenberger’s Legal Learning Webinar Series,
hosted monthly by Inside Self-Storage. At the ISS Expo, Mr.
Greenberger takes this event live in an intense four-hour session.
He’ll cover important legal issues every owner/operator should know:
- Lien Sales—How to conduct a sale, including all the
important checks and cross checks to conduct beforehand; when to
stop a sale; appropriate rules and releases to guide the process
- Facility Rules and Regulations—Why you need them and what
they should include
- Abandonment—When can you declare abandonment and whether
a tenant can legally abandon a unit to an operator
The first three hours of this seminar will cover the above topics
as well as important issues relating to the storage of vehicles. Hour
four will be designated for lunch and Q&A. The event also includes an
optional bonus hour focusing on lien-sale laws in surrounding states.
Speaker: Jeffrey Greenberger, Selfstoragelegal.com and Katz,
Greenberger & Norton LLP
Time: 11 a.m.-3 p.m., optional bonus hour on local lien-sale
laws from 3-4 p.m.
Includes: Seminar workbook and networking lunch as well as
access to the following show events: vendor presentations, cocktail
reception and expo hall
